City Elections 2025 – Team Walbrook

Team Walbrook – James Thomson and Alethea Silk

Myself and Alethea Silk – my fellow Common Councillor for the Ward of Walbrook – intend to stand for re-election as a team in 2025 to continue our work representing the amazing Ward of Walbrook.

We stand for and promote a vibrant and safe Ward of Walbrook and supporting the City and economic growth in the UK. Further information about the elections can be found below.

Both Alethea and I work, or have worked, in the Ward itself and have a good relationship with many of the organisations and people in the Ward. If you work or live in the Ward and wish to contact us, please see the contacts page.

If you are a registered voter, it is best to apply for a postal vote. Details of how to do this are set out below.

The City of London Corporation runs the Square Mile and is the oldest continuous municipal democracy in the world. Not only do we look after local services such as roads, rubbish collection, planning and the police – we also support and promote City businesses and ensure this remains one of the best places to live, work and visit in the world.

The next all-out elections to the Common Council will be on the 20th March 2025, but by-elections and elections for Alderman can be held at any time.

The election process and entitlement to vote

The City is divided into 25 wards, small electoral districts, each with a number of Common Councillors and one Alderman. There are 125 elected members of the City of London Corporation in total, who look after local services in the City and beyond, and serve as the representative voice of City businesses here and around the world. Those registered by 30th November each year will be able to vote in elections the subsequent year.
